The Image Maker – Book 1 – Hollywood Hearts gets an update.
So, some of you have expressed your love for the debut cover of The Image Maker. Thank you for your generous praise. As it stands, I eventually realized that it was going to be difficult to continue the theme of the couple on the front of the cover. Limited photographs of these two models, for one. I’ve been down the path before of getting into trouble trying to make my vision work with the photographs I want.
I also had several opinions regarding having characters on the front cover. Some like to imagine the characters for themselves. Others like the photographs of the protagonists. Regardless, it was becoming difficult to carry a theme through the series. And the good news is that the ‘SERIES’ is growing rather long. I’m on book 4 with ten chapters already written. My plan is to get Book 2 (The Image Breaker) and Book 3 (The Image Keeper) released this month. Pretty close together. Because… Some readers actually wait until the series is complete before they even start reading. All the books will be in Kindle Unlimited for now, so binge-read away. Now that September is here; it seems like a better time to release a novel (or two).
Back to the ‘cov-eh’ issue. I spent days trying to come up with a working theme that would carry across the series. I finally have.
So, The Image Maker got the first makeover. I really love it, and I already have mock-ups for the rest of the books, so I think it is going to work and be sustainable. The blurred background is of the Hollywood sign in West Hollywood. (There’s some editorial licensing issues with using the actual sign for commercial purposes. Annoying!) But the nighttime bukeh look is cool! The dark colors and black against the night sky with the bright neon colors look amazing! Hopefully, it will get more people to pick up the book! Always a good thing!

The Hollywood scene is the background is an essential part of the story. The champagne glasses with the champagne spilling (the swirl almost forming a heart is cool). The subtlety of the filmstrip at the bottom of the cover is a nod to our favorite actor, Roman Lysander. The tagline: Love is a performance. Until it isn’t, is also new. LOVE IT!
“Love is a performance. Until it isn’t.”
Oh, Roman.
Okay, that’s the update. I’m curious how many of you have read the story of Roman Lysander and Isla Ryder? I’m really enjoying writing these two characters, and their love story is a saga for sure. I am already on book 4 because there is so much to fit in for their story. Let me know what you think about my latest endeavor in the comment section.

If you have already read ‘The Image Maker’ and would be so kind as to leave me a review (on the ‘Zon) that would be wonderful. The world of publishing is tougher than ever, and there’s a lot of competition for everyone’s time and attention. I appreciate your helping me out with a review. Thank you so much!
