THIS MUCH IS TRUE

Title: THIS MUCH IS TRUE

Series: Truth In Lies Book 1

She just wants to escape her tragic story. He just wants to learn her name.
This much is true.

Tally Landon just wants to escape her tragic story, if only for just one night. She doesn’t count on meeting Stanford’s baseball wonder, Lincoln Presley. But now, she just plans to add him to her long list of one-night stands. That’s the plan.

Lying to the guy about virtually everything is her sure way of coping. She doesn’t count on being found out, ever seeing him again, or falling in love. Ballet is her life. She plans on keeping it that way. But, can she?

Lincoln Presley’s life is all mapped out. There is only baseball. With the major leagues circling their favorite prospect with a lucrative offer, he cannot afford to mess up. And, he doesn’t; until he meets up with the girl he saved on Valentine’s Day, months before.

By the time he learns her real name and all the lies she’s told, he’s in far too deep to ever really let her go. Even so, this girl could single-handedly tank his baseball career before it even gets started…

But it’s true, right? What they say?

Love conquers all.

Or does love destroy absolutely everything in its wake?

Author’s Note: A coming-of-age story? Could be. A powerful love story? Most definitely. An unforgettable read? Most likely. Intended for mature audiences, ages 17+? Absolutely.

This bestselling new adult contemporary romance novel will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride!

Katherine’s quotes

"You know what they say about air and water when it comes to fire, don’t you?” she asks.
Now, I’m curious. She hasn’t spoken for the last ten minutes of the drive. “What?”
“Too much air blows out the fire. Too much water destroys it.”
I nod trying to determine what she’s really comparing us to. “The idea would be to keep the flame going, right. For years?” She nods. “Like a relationship. Like a marriage.” She cringes at the word marriage. Noted. “So you need the air—to stay constant—to fan the flames of the fire, and you know, grasshopper,” I smile at her and catch sight of the corners of her mouth turning slightly upward in response to the endearment, “a hot enough fire will burn water, so you have to be careful with the water too.”
“That I do know,” she says softly. “So that’s the truth about air and water.” She sighs deep.
“Which is?”
“It’s hard to maintain the balance to keep the fire going. You have to fan the flames without putting it out with too much water. But too little water will burn the fire right up. Too much fire. Too much destruction. We’re out of control.”
“You’re talking in circles,” I say.
“No. That’s us,” she says with certainty."— Katherine Owen
